Ember Inns  Give Guests The Chance To Brew Their Own Daniel Thwaites Cask Ale

24/03/2010

Daniel Thwaites and
Ember Inns have come together for Cask Ale week to give one lucky pub-goer an exclusive opportunity to create their own tailor-made ale with the Daniel Thwaites brewing team that will go on sale in more than 170 Ember Inns’ pubs across the country, throughout July.

This unique opportunity will be the fantastic prize of a nationwide competition launched by the Mitchells & Butlers pub brand to celebrate Cask Ale Month (29th March – 25th April).

Steph Wright, brand manager for Ember Inns, adds: “As a Cask Marque accredited pub group, we are always keen to show our support for the British cask ale industry; especially the regional family brewers."

“We ran the competition last year and it went down an absolute storm so we wanted to make it bigger and better this year. And all guests need to do to be in with a chance of becoming brewer for a day is to complete an entry form, which will be available in an Ember pub from 29th March – 11th April, identifying which, from a multiple choice list, is not an ingredient used to brew real ale. “

The Daniel Thwaites winner will be selected at random and will then get to work with a team of experts to create their tailor made ale. As part of the prize, the winner and a guest will be treated to an overnight stay , which will be followed by a full day’s brewing experience, allowing them to experiment with different flavour combinations to create a great tasting ale.

The winners will also be able to suggest a name for their ale as well as helping to design the pump clip before all four ales go on sale in all Ember Inns’ pubs in July, giving their friends and family the chance to sample their tailor-made tipple.
