Lancashire County Cricket Club
Division 1 Runners Up & C&G Runners Up in 2006, Lancashire CCC are sponsored by Thwaites Lancaster Bomber. 2007 marks the second year of our sponsorship and our branding can be seen on all First and Second XI team kit and on the bar in the Members Lounge.
Blackpool International Airport
The unmistakable taste of Thwaites has gone global with our sponsorship and beer supply agreement with Blackpool International Airport.Thwaites draught and bottled beers are available in the departure lounge or in the exclusive Thwaites Double Century Executive Lounge, giving passengers from various European destinations a final taste of Lancashire's finest beer before they leave our shores. Northern Cricket
Another long-term sponsorship, Thwaites has been delighted with its support of the Northern League, the North Lancashire Cricket League & Cumbria Cricket. Marketing Manager, Lee Williams, explains: “We’re now associated with cricket from grass roots to the First Class arena but more importantly, the money we’re investing is being used to develop the next Freddie Flintoff to hopefully graduate from local league to the International stage”.

Thwaites has itself put pen to paper to seal a deal which will see it brew and market Wainwright Exquisitely Fine Blonde Ale. A 4.1%, refreshing straw-coloured beer named after Alfred Wainwright, the renowned Lakeland author who was born in Blackburn in 1907. His pictorial guidebooks have inspired generations of walkers to enjoy the breath-taking beauty of Lakeland and Cumbria.
