Thwaites’ plant is an APV keg racker that is in the process of being expanded to eight lanes during 2007. It can handle 30-litre, 11 gallon (50 litres), 18 gallon and 22 gallon (100 litres) kegs.
The ultra modern fit- to- fill empty container handling system includes external washing and label removal.
Thwaites have a state of the art pasteuriser and beer handling system, all fully automated to give precise controls of pasteurisation units and accurate management information.
Kegs are stacked on locator boards. The minimum run length is 120 barrels with the facility to dilute high gravity beer.
