Contract Brewing

The flexibility of the brew house is clearly apparent with the capability to brew traditional ales and lagers, from a single temperature infusion mash to a multi-stage temperature profiled mash. Every type of beer can be produced and a wide range of malts, handled both in bulk and speciality sacks, make it a be-spoke service. Thwaites' basic ingredient - water - is soft and therefore perfect for the job (especially for brewing lager), while salts are added (as appropriate) to suit any recipe.

There is an impressive selection of fermenting vessels from open squares and Yorkshire squares through to the modern enclosed cylindro-conical variety. Thwaites store and handle various yeasts and beers can be brewed as either traditional casks or cold-conditioned filtered.

There is no such thing as "too big an order" for Thwaites' fully-automated brewery and, by offering different lengths, there is also scope to deal with small volume runs. Once produced, Thwaites can provide every sort of packaging process - cask, keg, can and bottle.
