Thwaites’ small-scale, non-returnable glass bottling line provides great flexibility in terms of bottle labelling and secondary packaging.
The beer is sterile filtered (not pasteurised) ensuring true flavours for all products without over pasteurisation. Bottle sizes are 275ml, 330ml, 500ml and 660ml. As labelling is self-adhesive format there are few restrictions on shape size and style.
Thwaites offer a complete service on beers from green beer that is cold conditioned and sterile filtered before bottling. Thwaites can produce bottle-conditioned beers.
Some small breweries send beer straight from the fermentor. Batch lengths run from 30 barrels to volumes of several hundred.
Bottle speed is 40 bottles per minute enabling hand packing into tray with shrink or taped boxes. Also available is a case erector giving capability of full wrap-around cartons.
